Accessibility Statement

How we design Aptelior to be calm, inclusive and accessible — for every visitor.

At Aptelior, we believe that great design is inclusive by nature. Our goal is to ensure that every person — regardless of ability — can navigate, interact with, and enjoy our website with ease, while preserving the calm and refined aesthetic that defines our brand.

We are committed to meeting the principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we continually review and enhance our site to make accessibility a seamless part of the Aptelior experience.

Our approach

  • Inclusive design: clear layouts, consistent structure, and intuitive navigation for a smooth browsing experience.
  • Keyboard access: all key features can be used via keyboard, with visible focus indicators for easy navigation.
  • Text alternatives: meaningful alt text for non-decorative images and accessible labels for all form elements.
  • Colour & contrast: we maintain at least a 4.5:1 contrast ratio for text and interactive elements, following WCAG AA standards.
  • Headings & landmarks: logical heading hierarchy and semantic HTML with ARIA landmarks where appropriate.
  • Resizable text: all content remains functional and readable up to 200% zoom in modern browsers.

Compatibility

Our store is optimised for the latest versions of major browsers — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge — as well as for current iOS and Android devices. Some older browsers or assistive technologies may not fully support all modern features, but we strive to provide graceful fallback wherever possible.

Limitations & continuous improvement

Although we work hard to ensure accessibility across our entire site, a few areas may still present challenges:

  • Third-party widgets (such as chat or review apps) that may not yet offer complete keyboard or screen-reader compatibility.
  • Older media or image files that may lack detailed alternative descriptions.

We actively monitor these areas and prioritise improvements as part of our ongoing development. If you encounter an issue or accessibility barrier, please let us know — your feedback is essential to our progress.

Third-party content & services

Our website integrates certain third-party services — such as payment gateways, analytics, and logistics tools. While we do not control their code or interface, we select partners who demonstrate accessibility awareness and compliance with recognised standards wherever possible.

Feedback & contact

We welcome your feedback. If you experience difficulty using our website or need content in an alternative format (for example, large print, plain text, or accessible PDF), please reach out to us:

📧 support@aptelior.com

We aim to acknowledge all accessibility-related messages within 2 working days and provide a full response within 10 working days.

Escalation & rights

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may seek further guidance from your local accessibility or consumer protection authority. In the United Kingdom, you may contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS). Your statutory rights under applicable accessibility and consumer laws remain unaffected.

Assessment & review

We assess accessibility through regular internal reviews and automated testing — including colour-contrast checks, keyboard-only navigation tests, and screen-reader audits. All new features and updates undergo accessibility review prior to release.
