Accessibility Statement

At Aptelior, we believe that good design is inclusive design. Our goal is to make every part of our website usable and enjoyable for everyone — including people with disabilities — while maintaining the visual clarity and calm aesthetic that define our brand.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we continually review our store to ensure accessibility remains a natural part of the Aptelior experience.

Our Approach

  • Inclusive design: clean layouts, clear hierarchy and consistent navigation for intuitive browsing.
  • Keyboard access: all essential functions can be used via keyboard, with visible focus indicators.
  • Text alternatives: meaningful alt text for non-decorative images and descriptive labels for form elements.
  • Colour & contrast: minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for text and interactive elements (WCAG AA).
  • Headings & landmarks: logical heading order, semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks where appropriate.
  • Resizable text: all pages remain functional and readable up to 200% zoom in supported browsers.

Compatibility

Our store is optimised for modern browsers — Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge — and current iOS and Android devices. Older browsers or assistive technologies may have limited compatibility with certain modern features, but we strive for graceful fallback wherever possible.

Limitations & Continuous Improvement

Despite our ongoing efforts, some areas may still present challenges:

  • Third-party widgets (e.g., review or chat apps) with incomplete keyboard or screen-reader support.
  • Older media assets that may lack complete alternative descriptions.

We actively review these areas and prioritise accessibility fixes as part of every site update. If you encounter an accessibility issue not listed here, please let us know — your feedback helps us improve.

Third-Party Content & Services

Our store integrates certain external services (e.g., payment processors, analytics, shipping and tracking). While we cannot control their code or interface, we choose partners that demonstrate accessibility commitments and comply with applicable standards where possible.

Feedback & Contact

We welcome your feedback. If you experience difficulty using our website or need information in a different format (for example, large print, plain text or accessible PDF), please contact us:

📧 support@aptelior.com

We aim to acknowledge accessibility enquiries within 2 working days and to provide a full response within 10 working days.

Escalation & Rights

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may seek further guidance from the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) in the UK, or from your local consumer protection or equality body within the European Union. Your statutory rights under UK and EU law remain unaffected.

Assessment & Review

We evaluate accessibility through internal audits and automated testing (including colour contrast, keyboard navigation, and screen-reader checks). All new features and design updates are reviewed for accessibility before release.
